shizznit Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Primus Royal Albert Hall 4th-5th April 2012 Just bought my tickets! So excited!!!! Never seen them play for the 20+ years that I have been listening to their music. Anyone going? Quote
Nyl Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 yip, went to Brixton last year and it was AMAZING! so as soon as this was announced, snapped up tickets for both days! Quote
molan Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Primus at the RAH - sounds somehow 'wrong' to me, lol Quote
winterfire666 Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 might have to go to this one, i had tickets to see them in manchester last year but was brutally ill with violent vomit and poo escapades! i was well gutted. :0 Quote
StraightSix Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012
might have to go to this one, i had tickets to see them in manchester last year but was brutally ill with violent vomit and poo escapades! i was well gutted. :0
Gutted indeed...! The RAH is a good venue and sounds good too - only downside is the beer prices Quote
rOB Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 oo. missed out last year. Will have to wait until after payday but fingers crossed there are tickets left in a couple of weeks. Quote
shizznit Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 I have recruited a few friends from the S.Wales area...7 of us are going down on the train! I am going to be giggling with excitement like a little school girl on the way there! I haven't been this excited about a gig for years Quote
Raslee Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Even i'm going to this, had a nice invite to it. Quite looking forward to it too; i'm not usually into 'heavier' stuff but i have to say Les Claypool is awesome (as are the rest of the band!) Quote
jnoinkeis Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Got tickets for both nights, can't wait. Saw them at Brixton last year too and they were amazing. But if they don't play Wynona on at least one night I might cry. Quote
eude Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I got my tickets last year for this, for the first night - I'll be in a freakin' box! Quote
Burg Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Has anyone received their tickets yet? Bought mine from seetickets the day they went on sale. Both nights! Quote
eude Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012
Has anyone received their tickets yet? Bought mine from seetickets the day they went on sale. Both nights!
Nope, SeeTickets are awful, but the only way to get them as far as I could see. Every single time I've bought tickets from those muppets, months in advance, I've ended up having to print off the email confirmation and collect the tickets from the Box Office on the day. Every time I swear I'll never use them again, but they seem to have a bit of a handle on all the gigs I want to go to - the bastards! Eude Quote
pantherairsoft Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Thinking about the Seas of cheese dates - Apparently one night is a 'Best of' set, the other night is Sailing the seas of Cheese & the new album start to finish (Both nights will be 2 sets with a break apparently!?). Quote

If it's true about playing all of Seas.. then you can consider my excitement tripled. Quote
I've liked all the drummers Primus have had, particularly Brain, although I know he's not the most popular. I actually think Jay's style is a nice mix between Herb and Brain, I really like his work with Charlie Hunter Trio too I just can't bloomin' wait, even my wife is looking forward to it, she was pleasantly surprised when I took her to see them last year... I love his spastic drum fills in Shake Hands With Beef. Quote
Marlat Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I have tickets to both nights. I can't wait! Quote
eude Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Well I never, See Tickets have just emailed me telling me my tickets have been dispatched... I didn't expect that, I was gearing up to furiously queue at the box office moments before the gig started, which tends to be the "See Tickets Way". Oh well, perhaps they've finally ironed out their business model... Eude Quote

I love Sailing The Seas of Cheese a hell of a lot, but Pork Soda is definitely my favourite album, closely followed by The Brown Album, so there's every chance they'll play a little of both then. Nice. Eude Quote
