Will Law
http://soundcloud.com/justwilliamandtheoutlaws/its-a-long-long-way-to-1 Would anyone know how to stop the squeaky/high freq noise on this? It was recorded on an 8 track cassette and was fine on there, it only happens when I transfer it to the computer...not even sure what it is! Thanks
untune
It sounds to me like an artifact that could be caused by dithering. Does it sound like this in the mix BEFORE you exported the mixed down track (as an mp3 I assume)? Also, what settings are you using to transfer from tape to digital? I'd say use 48kHz/24bit at least, to be on the safe side
Will Law
Yeah, it sounds like this as soon as it's on the computer but it sounds ok through the preamp/usb interface monitor mix. I think i was using the highest which I imagine would be 48kHz at least? I'm not too sure really, I'll double check in a minute and try it again.
