one of these.

I really like my GK MB200, and to be honest for most gigs it is enough as I have PA support always. I actually kind of prefer it to my EBS HD350.

So I am pondering about getting this matching cab. Anyone used one? 4 ohms, so gets the full 200W. Thoughts?

That's one of the few GK bits I actually haven't used. From what people have said on here about the other cabs in the MBE range and what I know, I doubt you'd be disappointed and you'd have a brilliant rig that weighs nothing.

If you do take the plunge, I'd be interested to know how you get on with it. I can't see any reason that it wouldn't do the trick though.

I had wondered about one of those in a bundle

The specs look pretty underwhelming

max SPL: 91dB,

frequency response: 51Hz - 18KHz

but you never know until you try it!

But for £44 who can argue.

My mate who is setting up a new rehearsal studio near Edinburgh, is putting in these with the MB200 head for the bass rigs.
At that price he's got one for each space and a spare!
I know it's not going to move the earth, but it'll kick the arse off anything at a similar price I reckon. If I didn't already have my Promethean Combo, I'd be on this like and aggressive moss :)

want to hear how this sounds.

Well I should manage some 3rd party feedback in a few weeks if nobody else gets hands on anytime soon.
I probably won't get up to the studio for a few months yet :(

If you could test it with your MB200 I'll owe you a pint :)

I'm based near magnet studios.

Tbh it's not built great, the grill has got a small resonant freq rattle at A#, should be able to sort it with a rubber grommet.

Compaired to my aguilar cabs its not amazing, but it's a 10th of the price it shouldn't be.

That seems like a good deal for a reasonably small and lightweight rig. Be interesting to hear what it's like.

I got mine as part of the thomann deal. I just wanted some cheap and light for my kala ubass, just to use as a monitor really. Also the added bonus of using it at jam nights where I wouldn't worry about it or care who used it.

Gigged it tonight and was quite impressed all things considered.
