Toasted
Sorry for the doofus question: if I get an apogee one can i put an mp3 from my iTunes library into GarageBand as one track, and then record me playing my bass along to it as another track? When I listen through the headphones on the one will I be able to hear both tracks? Will there be latency between my bass playing and the track? I'm new at this. dave_bass5
Althouh i dont have either a Mac or the Apogee one (i do have the Jam for my ipad) looking at the blurb for it it does seem like you use it as both in and out, so yes, your headphones will get all the Mac audio out as well as the input. In effect the interface becomes the Mac's sound card so you will get the full mix of whats going on. Not sure about the latency but as its designed for this sort fo thing i doubt you will get anything thats noticable.

SebCarr
Latency is adjustable through changing the buffer sizes and sample rate in the control panel, and you should be able to get it suffienctly low on that combo for it to not be an issue. I have no latency issues with my Apogee Duet.
