Bloodaxe
Try the 'original' by Deep Purple: - http://www.911tabs.com/link/?3693405 - Ab, Eb, Bb, F looks about right - I'm away from my bass at the moment so can't check. There are two earlier versions: The Real Original written by Joe South & recorded by Billy Joe Royal: & the one that Joe South recorded a bit later on, which is virtually a facsimile of the BJR version - both pre-date the Deep Purple take. gilmour
I got too play this with the drummer form Kula Shaker at music college many years ago by pure coincidence my functions band a are playing at a wedding in a few weeks and the bassist from Deep Purple is some relation to the groom, so they've all had to learn it so he can come onstage for a jam with us - bit gutted I won't get to play with him, just let him use my kit Buggered if I can remember how to play it though, I've probably got score somewhere. Hobbayne
Yes, it is Ab, Eb, Bb, F. I just root third and fifth over the chords and jump down to the bottom F at the ending. I thinks thats how they do it. BTW, the Kula Shaker version misses out the 2nd and third verse for some reason.
