Bassmurf
Evening, An old friend of mine is retiring from his band and he's tapped me up to possibly replace him. As they are a grunge/alt-rock covers band, about half the set is in either C or C# tuning and I've opted for getting a four string to deal with these particular songs (did have a 5 string but just couldn't get on with it!), have been looking around for appropriate strings and have come across the DDT range from DR. Just wondered if anyone used these before? Cheers Dan
charic
Newtone strings for me. They'll do startard thickness strings to whatever tuning you like
misrule
I've used DDTs to dep with a similar down-tuned band -- I was recommended them on here. They were great. Tension-wise, they felt pretty much the same as standard DRs even at the lower tuning. And they lasted for ages. I think you'll like 'em. Jam
I use DDT strings for Csharp tuning, they're fantastic. The last strings I used were like spaghetti in comparison, flopping all over the fretboard. They just feel like normal strings.
