I dont think you'll get what you're looking for out of a pedal.

Something like an EBS valvedrive might get you in the ballpark but it wont be close.

Most of those tones come from running heads very hot.

I'd recommend one of the following:

[sfx] Red Dragon
BJFE Blueberry (if you can find one) or Fuzzrocious Dark Driving <-= probably the best pedals you can find for the Jack Bruce type sound
FEA Labs Dual Band Distortion (way more flexible and covers every type of sound you could want).

Check out Darkglass effects. Bit on the expensive side, but very felxible and I love the sound of their overdrive. Kinda aggressive,
like Les Claypool's tone or something.

Didn't Dan Armstrong put a pair of back to back germanium diodes in Jack Bruce's bass, with an in/out toggle switch? I did that 30 years ago with an overwound neck pickup when trying to sound like him.
