Can anyone help me out here? I'm looking for a German style bow for my 3/4 bass. Everything on eBay seems to be a lot of money or in China. My budget is £100 and I'm hoping to get carbon fibre for that. Any shops worth contacting? Thanks for your help.

Hi Sarah,

I just got one of these:

It's French I know but I believe there's a German version. I'm really pleased with it. Vast improvement on my old fibre-glass thing.

I got a French bow from Yitamusic (Chinese) on ebay, and it was (I'm told by those who know) very good indeed. Arrived very quickly too.

Good to get feedback on a Chinese firm - I was warned off them generically, so didn't want to risk it without any other input. Did you get the standard, advanced or top bow?

And Phil, thanks for the info on the Thomann bows. I'll probably get one or the other of these.
