binky_bass
Hey guys, I've been offered a 9 string Conklin sidewinder custom with fanned frets and a Pac-Man inlay and Pac-Man tuners and knobs for around £2000... It's most definitely used, but in good shape. Should I buy? I'd be interested to know what people think of this... Thanks, Russ. (if this is in the wrong thread, feel free to chuck it in the right one! this one seemed most appropriate.)

RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
Mmmmm, 9 string bass"...how much!?! If you really really love it , and you'll keep it forever, then ok. But, if , like many of us , you get GAS , then you may have problems with selling it on.
charic
Aww man that's epic, I'd have that bass
binky_bass
I do have a 10 string bee so I'm not unfamiliar with these beasts! And who doesn't like Pac-Man? I'm leaning towards buying... I think for a Conklin 9 string custom its a good deal. Still, more opinions will help make a decision. Thanks Guys. Russ.
AttitudeCastle
Who offered this to you? Last i heard of it, Jean was still selling it for $5K, or has the priced come down? Do you know jean? (Sorry, i'm a tad fan-ish at times!) I LOVE the Pac-9 it's one of my favourite basses! The tuners are just so cool xD
Chris Horton
It is totally down to personal taste. I would never buy it mainly because i could never play it But , i do yhink that the bass looks very cool. If you have the money and it is something you love then i think that you have to go for it we should enjoy these things while we can ........................
