woodyratm
Hi guys, I'd heard that this volume pedal can be used as an expression pedal, so due to the fact its built like a tank - I bought one. (The smaller passive one 250k i think?) I'm trying to use it to control my LPF but it doesnt appear to be working. I've checked the manuel for the Moog and still none the wiser. Anyone able to assist? Ta Dave
pantherairsoft
Are you using a Stereo cable?
pantherairsoft
Also, I think you need a 50k pot (like the EP-2) to get the full 0-5v CV scale out of the pedal.

[/quote] I wasn't no - Is that a requirement? I did read the manual whilst at a band practice so i may have missed a few parts. pantherairsoft
You will need to use a Stereo lead - that's your 1st issue. The pedal may work fine, I'm sure of the Moog's adaptability.
simwells
As far as I'm aware you need a stereo to two mono leads, plug the two monos into input and output and then stereo into the moog. The difference in the pot (resistance as well as the taper) will affect how it works though.
woodyratm
hmm bugger. Just ebay'd a stereo to stereo lead. Will give it a go and see what happens..
xgsjx
If you can solder, buy a length of instrument cable & chop it in 1/2 & buy 2 mono jacks & 2 stereo jacks. this way if the stereo to 2 mono's don't work, you can make a stereo-stereo with 1/2 (1/2d again) & a mono to mono lead for whatever else. The difference the pot will make is how far it will affect the parameter by, which if you're using it to control the Cut Off, probably wont be an issue. The Moog EP-2 Exp pedal has a pot at the side to adjust the resistance & I usually have this turned back a bit so I have more control over a narrower frequency.
