GarethFlatlands
I can vouch for these. Picked one up a month ago after a recommendation on here. I'd been searching for ages for the right fuzz and so far I'm loving it. I think they're based on the 'tall font green russian' muff. Either way, it sounds awesome.
Cool, like I say I love the percolator pedal on guitar. I'll keep an eye out for a muff on ebay.
Used lots of her pedals. They dont take kindly to active electronics.
Yeah, they don't like jazz chord voicings either so not much use for my active bass or poncy guitar playing. It's on sale here but I'm debating keeping it for recording. The Walloper
Tried one for a solid month and couldnt get on with it. Found it next to impossible to get a mix that was usable in a band situation. Thats mainly the reason I'm 'layering' fuzz units at the mo.
Even on it's own I thought it was excellent. Plenty of low end and tone versatility. But I always use my Boss LS-2 for blending my distortion/fuzz loop with my clean. I assume this is same as you when 'layering' as you put it. As you say, you can get a mix to work with, and adds depth to the overall fuzz tone. Edited February 13, 2012 by The Walloper

Papalampraina
Anyone here ever tried Devi Ever Bit: The legend of fuzz pedal?
Mog
Anyone here ever tried Devi Ever Bit: The legend of fuzz pedal?
Yep. Great tone on its own, probably as good as the Ruiner, but in a heavy setting it can get swamped. Mine was very noisey also.
EskimoBassist
The Ruiner sounds mental. I want one just to pretend to be Trent Reznor.
