kurcatovium Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) I'm posting this on behalf of my friend who's not member of this forum. He's selling Rickenbacker 4003 in black. She's year 2001, in very good condition and comes with original plastic Rickenbacker case. Price is [s]£1200[/s] £1100 which inlcludes postage in Europe. It's also possible to trade for Spector Euro or Stingray + cash (both preferably 5'ers, but 4 strings may go too). Edited February 12, 2012 by kurcatovium
kurcatovium Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 Is it overpriced or just a bad time?
paulmcnamara Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Its a good price for a Ric, but times are bad as well
woodster909 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 seems a fair price, I paid 1200 for my '03 4003 but yes times are bad, very little spare cash around good luck with the sale
kurcatovium Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 He just told me he's willing to trade for Spector Euro + cash adjustment. So be it.
Stag Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I miss my Jetglo Ric terribly. Lovely bass and a sign 'o the times this hasnt gone yet.
simon1964 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 A good price for a great bass. But nothing much seems to be selling at the moment.
geofio Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 i am just about giving away a jazz bass and it has not sold, probably better to hang on to it until things change, thats what i am doing.
kurcatovium Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 The problem here is, that Rick sound doesn't really fit his band. That's the only reason why he's selling it.
girya32 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 lateral thinking - tell the guys "we should sound more like Yes/Rush/Motorhead/TheBeatles/TheJam/DeepPurple" ?
kurcatovium Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 Yes, the bass is in Czech Republic. Postage is included in price, though.
kurcatovium Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 (edited) New trade option is Stingray (ideally 5) with rosewood board with some cash going his way. Edited February 6, 2012 by kurcatovium
Thornybank Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Fancy a '93 Warwick Thumb 5? or a G&L 5500 + an amp (or something)? Edited February 8, 2012 by Thornybank
Gust0o Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 It's a bugger this is elsewhere in Europe, as it's the kind of trade deal where I'd like to have a go first. I'm sure it will move, it looks a very nice piece of kit.
kurcatovium Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 Well, I can vouch for the guy, but that means next to nothing :-) So take this as a bump.
kurcatovium Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Bass was sold locally yesterday.
Gust0o Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 That's great news, chief. Can you please edit the topic to state that in title, to avoid people asking in future?
