Hey guys, thinking about purchasing this fine looking bass, but theres a crack on the lower side of the neck pocket.

What do you think - anything to worry about?

Hard to tell from the pic - but it looks like just a crack in the lacquer which is only a cosmetic issue. Can't be sure - but it's not a typical place for a wood crack to form.

p.s. watch out for moderators - they might tell you off for posting it in 2 places

Cheers for the quick reply - I'm not too sure what to make of it. Seller took it to a shop where a guy said that it is just the part of the guitar where a lot of strain is focussed - dunno if that's a worry for any future wood movement though?

(And I will apologise profusely if moderators come a-knocking - my fault for typing before thinking!)
