The late 70s/early 80s disco thread (Chic, EWF etc)

I was on a flight back from biz abroad yesterday, listening to some very earnest jazz/rock fusion on my iPod and frankly losing my attention. So I clicked on my Best of Chic and it had me grinning away and head nodding like a buffoon. The Italian lady next seat along must have thought the village idiot had got loose. For me, the height of disco/dance music was the late 70s/early 80s when you had bass-propelled hit after hit from the likes of Chic, Sister Sledge (same rhythm section of course), Earth Wind & Fire, Funkadelic, Kool & The Gang etc. So post up your vids here. I will start with two faves of mine, McFadden & Whitehead's 'Ain't no stoppin US' and Chic's 'My forbidden lover' - love 'em!

Ah, those teenage years! - this is slightly OT, but was a real crossover track in 1982, it blew me away.

It was 1977. I was a spotty git with bad hair and no girlfriend. But luckily there was Donna Summer.
All hail Hansjorg 'Giorgio' Moroder for his groundbreaking production!
This was an important influence on the electronic dance music scene.

1982. I'd forgotten how good some of the early 80s production actually was.
Made a fool of myself to this on many a dance floor.

Whats it worth for me not to change my avatar pic immediately, discreet, thereby making you look extraordinarily dodgy? I accept cheques, Curlie-wurlies etc

What was it about 1982? Imagination... Illusion... Too much coke, obviously.

I already look extraordinarily dodgy, but OK... I've got an Aero bar from 1982 you can have? :D

I saw Imagination live in Oxford about 1982, about the same time I saw your old lot Pigbag play there, discreet! One camp gig (Imagination, obviously)!

And here's a reminder of discreet's old gang :)

What The Funk?? 'Keep On Doin' It' from the album 'Secrets' (1976)
This is the track which made me certain that playing bass was the way to go.

Wasting their time on the bloody internets, probably.
