Do fender make any bass or guitar now using nitro paint?

Highway One series are nitro, the bodies are a matte finish which some people don't like.

However after playing a HW1 Strat for a few months it's started to shine up in places, you could probably polish them too but I haven't tried. It's a pretty thin finish apparently so you'd have to be careful not to go through.

My highway 1 jazz has polished up nicely in a couple of places, and looks good in the wine finish. The nitro isn't to everyone's liking, but works for me. That sunburst is rather nice though :)

Hello,

As said Luke FRC, the American Vintage basses (57 Precision, 62 Jazz bass) have a nitro finish.
Of course, all the Custom Shop Time machine instruments.

Why are you interested in knowing that ? For the sound, the look ?

Good groove
