I would like to change the bridge on my 75 RI jazz... ive never done this before... BUT... i dont really want to drill more holes... the bass has the usual Fender bent piece metal on it.... can you recommend a bridge that will use the existing holes..? Just spotted these.. im getting GAS for a bridge...

I've fitted two Badass II bridges on to Fender Jazz bodies and they dropped into the existing holes perfectly. That's the info you wanted.
Of course, there is differing opinion on whether it's worth doing it or not.....

Just out of interest, why do you want to replace the bridge? :)
[/quote]in the past ive banged on that high mass bridges dont make that much difference, or was it string through, i cant remember? but i played a jazz the other week with a BA on it, and across the neck the tone was more consistent..

In that case you`ll be ok with the BA, they fit the pre-drilled holes fine, no extra holes needed.

not sure whether those Babicz look too modern on a Jazz though

You could be right there. Very comfy though by all accounts.

to be honest the Bad Ass II i prefer the look of on a jazz but i really dont like the fact that you have file your own string slots.. the Bad Ass III is better, but only three drill holes... dooohh
