bubinga5 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) I would like to change the bridge on my 75 RI jazz... ive never done this before... BUT... i dont really want to drill more holes... the bass has the usual Fender bent piece metal on it.... can you recommend a bridge that will use the existing holes..? Just spotted these.. im getting GAS for a bridge... Edited February 1, 2012 by bubinga5 Quote
discreet Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Just out of interest, why do you want to replace the bridge? Quote
Len_derby Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I've fitted two Badass II bridges on to Fender Jazz bodies and they dropped into the existing holes perfectly. That's the info you wanted. Of course, there is differing opinion on whether it's worth doing it or not..... Quote
Johngh Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I put a Gotoh on mine, think that's how you spell it, went straight on no messing Quote

bubinga5 Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 not sure whether those Babicz look too modern on a Jazz though Quote

machinehead Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 To be honest, I just don't like the look of the BBOT and love the look of the BadAss. So it's worth it to me on looks alone. And they drop straight in too. Frank. Quote
bubinga5 Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 to be honest the Bad Ass II i prefer the look of on a jazz but i really dont like the fact that you have file your own string slots.. the Bad Ass III is better, but only three drill holes... dooohh Quote
