Mr H
Aspiration Elite. "Overwater Active Electric Bass Guitar taken in part exchange but new condition Just in stock : a real pro quality bass! Taken in part ex so one only! technically used but as new." Same seller had a TOJ2 Contemporary J last week, otherwise a very similar listing... So "one only" twice. Unlikely, but possible. However, after I was outbid in the dying seconds on that Contemporary J I then received a second chance offer - "another bass exactly the same from shop stock." Well regarded basses, good prices, but I still call shenanigans.
TDM
I wonder if they have a 5-string version taken in part exchange they could sell me too...
mojobass
i missed out on this one, are these really worth the cash? are they worth buying? i'm curious as ive seen a few of these 'tanglewaters' and as i cant afford a 'proper' overwater just wondered if its worth a punt on buying one? if so what sort of cash figure should i expect to pay new/secondhand? tauzero
I've had a play on a couple (at last year's Moffat bash, in the presence of Mr May) and I was impressed.
hubrad
I've been watching this, and have mentioned it to Overwater themselves. I've just had my THIRD Second Chance Offer on one of the range, this time it's a TO4A. It doesn't seem to matter by how much I missed it, a SCO comes through with a 'new from shop stock' type comment. Judging by this seller's 100% positive feedback I would assume the basses are really there and arriving, so it sounds to me like somebody is pulling a very naughty fast one, IMHO! These are supposedly (I've not managed to play one myself) very nice basses, being shifted on brand new at less than trade price!! Anybody in the know on this? If I'm correct in my assumption this activity can only serve to devalue the brand, both new and second-hand markets.
