I just received a new cabinet this morning, a Markbass 104HF, and I am itching to try it. However, I am using it with an EA iamp350 which only has jack outputs. I am wondering if it is okay to use a jack to jack speaker cable in the speakon input on the cab? The cable does fit in there and I will be using it a low volume for now until I can get a jack to speakon (or ideally a new head, it's for sale).

What do you think?

Or you could just go to your local Maplins and buy one of these.

Or get an adaptor:

I have a 104 HR, and it has 2 jack inputs and a speakon. Is the HF version any different? And a Jack wont go into the speakon bit either (butters in the fridge!).

Could you not just use jack-jack? I dont think they'll be any difference ion volume/tone or any nonsense like that.
