JohnFitzgerald
Just acquired this off a friend of a friend. Can't beat a basic Jazz. The 5er I have is active, I'm looking forward to having nothing more than a passive tone to roll off or on.
machinehead
That looks lovely. Frank.

JohnFitzgerald
I'm looking forward to it. Couple if gigs next two weeks, so it'll get a run out.
Blademan_98
Nice to see one without the fake Fender logo put on it. A great bass that will stay the course.
JohnFitzgerald
Yeah, quite right there. My existing 5er wears its Squier logo with pride. Tell me more about your Squier Jazz Fretless.
Blademan_98
It is a jaco replica that was defretted and has the stupid fake logo on it. The sound is great nice and mellow. I use flats on it. I bought it on here last year

Rick's Fine '52
Anyone want one then?, my mate's still selling his starter pack, although to be fair, the amp deserves a better description than starter! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/165285-starter-bass-package-squier-jazz-trace-elliott-combo-stand/page__fromsearch__1 I think he'll take a good offer, his wife is putting him under pressure to clear it out!! JohnFitzgerald
Finally got my hands on it today. Really, not a mark on it. still got the protective film on the scratchplate. Serial number confirms it as being a 2006 bass, so it's not exactly done much in its 6 years. The truss rod needed a bit of a tinkering to get that sitting nice, but all is now good. There's only one slight issue. It's years sonce I've played a 4 string jazz and i had forgotten just how skinny the neck is at the nut. I feel as if I could wrap my fingers around it 3 times. I'll get used to it I suppose.
Townes1992

Nice to see that people are proud to own squiers. Im a student and dont have too much extra money to spend, and i desperately want a new bass. Ive outgrown the Westfield ive been playing for the last 4 years. Very much fancied getting a vintage modified squier, just get put off by all the stuff people trash them about on the net :/ This reassures me a little

Norris
I bought this Squier P-J just before Xmas. It's a fantastic bass & the P pup makes for some great tone. I've gigged a few times now and am quite happy to be waving a Squier logo around. After all, it's all about the sound, not the label. JohnFitzgerald
Too right there Norris. In fact, I was forced to get the 5er out last night and sat them side by side. Yes, I did get a little bit proud to see two lovely basses sitting there side by side. All the bass I need. Not that I won't keep wanting the dearer stuff too. Evil Undead
I love my Squier to bits. I've been trying to sell it for a while, but it looks and plays so good I just can't bring myself to part with it.
pikeman
My Squier has been with me since 1983, it's my main bass and proudly wears the Squier badge. It also plays better than any Precision I've owned and that's quite a few.
