Anyone got any tips on good parking near the event?

I usually park at Edgware, then get the tube in, but any helpful tips would be most appreciated.

The parking at the venue is about £25.

Last year we parked at a multistorey in Hammersmith £9 for the day - a 20 min walk to the show (see here http://maps.google.c...177.76,,0,-0.28)

I'm also after a lift for this year if anyone is passing Birmingham on the M6 ! Fuel/parking will be contributed to :).

Sorry, I'm going down the night before to stay with my Dad. And not going back up to Brum until the Monday.

Is that car park OK inside or is it really narrow and difficult with a wide and long car?

It was niceguyhomers Mondeo so not a small car but can't be sure for your frog barge. Watch out when you open the boot though - low ceilings.

Her you go, Si and Lozz, I've added you to the wandering about category!

OK, so this is what we've got so far if we want to know where to bump into people during the day:

Where
BassDirect -- Dbass, Darkglass
Bassgear -- Molan, TomKent and various others
Hartke -- Dood
Wandering around -- Ped, Sibob, Lozz196

Feel free to add to the above. Or just post where you'll be and I'll add it to the list.

Bluejay and I will meet up at some point and time tbc, for female bonding. (And if Discreet's reading this that isn't a euphamism!)

In fact there wil be probably be loads more wanderers so I'll probably not bother to add everyone indivually unless they are going to be on a specific stand.
Just keep muttering the password as Lozz suggested earlier!

Nice one, parked there before, when went to Hammy Apollo to see Velvet Revolver. Didn`t realise it was only 20mins from Olympia - see, my lack of West London knowledge badly letting me down.

Must remember the password, must remember the password.......

I've got a date with Alan at ACG on Sat to discuss the new build :D. Love to meet with fellow BC'ers, you can't miss me, I've got a wooden leg, glass eye and a brass hand. Plus, I'll be wearing my 'No Fat Chicks' tee shirt.

I really ought to buy my Sunday ticket.

I shall be the one wandering about with a slightly glazed look after two night of gigging, and sadly the Saturday is the longer trip :(

Hopefully no engineering works this year. The taxi to cost me an arm and a leg last year.

Update on parking, just been having a look, and there`s a Tesco on Shepherds Bush Road, with free parking - for customers only - which is about a 15min walk from Olympia.

And, more importantly, about a 5min walk to the Pie & Mash Shop in Shepherds Bush.

Just purchased my ticket for Saturday :) .

I live Just off Junction 5 on the M4/ Denham exit M40 , and have off street parking for 2 extra cars. It's a 10 min walk to the station and you can get (a very regular train service) to Paddington in 20mins. Olympia is a spit from Paddington, and a single travel card for train/tube/bus will cost you £11.50.

Anyone interested, let me know, plus on the Sunday, it's free parking on my street, so could accommodate a few more

I would look into that a bit more as they may insist you spend above a certain amount in store and/or limit parking to say 2 hours

Agreed, will check out on the day, and if limits are in place, park in the Kings Mall car-park in Hammersmith - £9 a day. Still better than endless tubing.

There's a great cafe/deli on the way there (about half way to the venue on right hand side). Get there early and get some brekkie !

I'm still trying to find a way to get there without driving myself on my tod !

Well for me it has to be Cookes Traditional Pie & Mash, just up near Shepherds Bush Green.

A local caff does pie and mash... I asked what was in the pie and was told, 'meat'.
I opted for the English Breakfast.

Dreadful news. That Pie-Shop is also featured in the dvd "There`ll always be an England" by The Sex Pistols, when they played Brixton in 2007. There`s a special feature that follows each of the Pistols through their history - where they grew up etc - and Jones & Cook go to Cookes for some good old pie & mash.

I'll be there both days - just hanging out and maybe playing a couple of times on the MarkBass stand on Saturday, then doing a masterclass on Sunday morning.

Look forward to saying hi to a a few old and new friends :)
