No pix and the mention of a band called grunt. And zero feedback, too!
lettsguitars
Looks like it's just the headstock for sale.
gjones
It's either been put on ebay by a 90 year old grandmother who found it in her attic and is totally genuine. Or It's some clueless thicko trying a cheap scam. You choose!

warwickhunt
A 62 Jazz and ONE pic of the headstock... walk away... FAST!
lettsguitars
Yup. Best leave it. A granny would have used a picture of the body, not the headstock.
Stacker
Let's see. He's emailing me pix. I've already flushed out one liar this week over a vintage Martin D-45! ;-)

Stacker
Well, it amuses me, sometimes. The D-45 seller eventually replied to me saying she was up in Orkney, when I asked about viewing/collection. No probs, I said, I'd be on the first flight up next again day from Edinburgh. The contact stopped right after that!

deanovw
This is the original ebay auction. Here This first auction was genuine. I know because I viewed the bass and bid on it. The text in this new auction has been lifted from the original. I say scam.
Stacker
Ok, so he's sent me some pix. It's a black jazz with tort plate, 62+ controls, neck with clay dots and the mute screws still in place. This is either a stacker '62 that has been modded to VVT (stackers came in oly white and black only as standard) or it's a transitional model. It certainly looks original, though I haven't seen the neck plate. But I've seen these pix before, maybe last year not ebay but on Gumtree or Craigslist and the odd references to some band called 'Grunt' confirm this to me. However, a quick scour of Gumtree and Craigslist pulls up nothing this time. Again, I have asked to view, so let's see what happens. Deanovw - the pix he sent me are a complete lift off that previous auction. Edited February 6, 2012 by Stacker
deanovw
I have been informed that the 1962 bass in the previous auction + pics still resides in Cornwall.
Stacker
But the bass sold in that auction, yeh? And it stayed in Cornwall? Odd that the new owner has to use old pix...........
deanovw
Yes it sold. The seller told me a little about the buyer. Obviously I didnt ask for, or expect, their contact details. I was gutted I couldnt get the funds together for it. I did get a 1968 Selmer bass amp from the same seller. I have asked to view this bass in this new auction. Zero response so far. Approach with caution.
