deanovw Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I watched this and was very impressed. Jessie J is very good. Nice bass playing sir. That last drum fill made me smile on Sat night. Good drummer. Quote
louisthebass Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I saw this when I was channel hopping the other night - great playing by yourself & the other guys in the band. When I started watching it, I initially thought it was that woman who plays Chaz in Emmerdale, but the penny dropped after about 2 seconds that it was in fact, Jessie J....D'oh! Quote
Monckyman Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 (edited) Completely "live"? Edit to say, I don`t actually care how live it is. I personally think it`s harder swinging a click driven song, so kudos. Edited February 6, 2012 by Monckyman Quote

xilddx Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Great song! I really like that! Great performance, and I can understand why you might be questioned on whether it's live, because people make assumptions about pop music, and the quality of the performance is so good. Great stuff! Quote
andydye Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Superb, super tight sounding pop with a hint of personality from the band, lovin it! Quote
lettsguitars Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Cool. That's one massive deal of a gig. I did sit up and take notice of the good sound and general tightness. Sadly J.J not for me though. Quote
neilb Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 (edited) Your usual Lakky Phil? With a pick? Edited February 6, 2012 by neilb Quote
alex_1_2_3 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Nice job Phil, great tone/playing. Band sounds hot, Jessie J going for it as usual! Great stuff, thanks for posting this! Quote
Blademan_98 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Very cool gig! Not my taste of music but I can appreciate the bands playing and being live it was very polished. Good job. Quote
leftyhook Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 What an opening shot!!!...oops.. anyway a great slot! I think she is great. A very slick performance by all. Well done mate. If you ever fall ill because some unknown bassist tampers with your sat nav and sends you the wrong way , I will fill in for you! Quote
mep Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Great performance. I'm more of Graham Norton viewer now, but thanks for posting. Quote
gjones Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I like the bit where she sings 'You got me losing my mind' at 1.35 and she goes cross eyed. Quote

I've got a couple older laklands, with Bartolini pickups.. and a couple newer with "lakland" pick ups which are actually made from Hanson guitars.. when they bought lakland a year or so ago. but yeh on that vid im using a standard Skyline 55-01, love them! Hanson and Lakland are 2 brothers or something aren't they so it's almost not quite a buy-out Quote
LiamPodmore Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Watched this when it was on on saturday night, amazing performance from Jessie and the whole band, she seems like such a character sometimes, must be one awesome gig that. Liam Quote
ShergoldSnickers Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Another Basschat triumph. Bags of energy, strong vocals, really great rhythm section, nice little guitar run in there and yes, that drum fill. Job done. Quote
