nelville
As someone relatively new to bass I'd like some advice on amps/ speakers. Thomann are doing the Ashdown Little Giant 1000 at a good price. With a single Gallien Krueger 210MBE would this be enough for small gigswithout a PA, and larger gigs with a PA ? Thomann have a bundle offer with two 210MBE cabs, but they are out of stock of cabs at the moment (the bundle item is 275051). Would I need the two cabs? Or should I go down another route? I quite like the idea of the lightweight stuff that's available but don't have a massive budget. On the other hand I don't want to find I'm under-powered. I'd appreciate any advice/ suggestions. xgsjx
A 2x10 would do you just fine, but if you can get 2 2x10s then go for it. Not sure if the Ashdown LG is any good though? Not heard much about it at all.
Lozz196
I`m sure one on it`s own would be loud enough, it all depends on whether it has the required depth of sound. The bundle however sounds good, budget permitting. The you can use one cab at rehearsals, and bring both out for gigs.
