Hi,
I'm having to little time practicing the fretless intonation and with soon having a baby I'm facing even less practicing time. Therefore I'm thinking of either selling this fine instrument or trading it for a fretted similar one.

The bass is a vintage early ninties defretted six string F bass. It looks absolutely stunning, plays wonderfully with low action and has the best fretless sound I've heard. The bass has two split coil pickups which gives it a really fat and clear fretless tone and features the older preamp mentioned on the fbass homepage.

The bass is in good condition apart from a dent on the bottom of the bass i didn't notice during the initial inspection. I've tried to capture images of the dent as faithfully I can. The unfinished neck also is a bit darkened from playing.

Possible trades: Any fender style bass, preferably a 5str P.
Price: 1700 GBP (Noticeably lower price for a straight sale)

Even with my six string I was two upped by the guitarist. :)
He builds his guitars himself and has plans for a resonator bass as well. I'm really curious to how it would sound and how much it would weigh...
