Much as I like John Bonham's drumming he was into all sorts of music including funkier stuff, most of it didn't work with Led Zep in my opinion.

James Brown thought they were taking the p!$$ with "The Crunge" but apparently it was meant as some sort of tribute

Ball achingly, sphincter wincingly bad...I can't even describe it as a song. It's just so bad.

A drummer muted the idea of forming a band with him and I asked what sort of stuff, he played D'yer Mak'er, I left the room.

That's like.. one of my favorite Zep songs. Hating it is like hating Bob Marley. And NO ONE hates Bob
Marley.

Me and Scratch Perry do.I absolutely love reggae but I can't abide Bob Marley.
D'Yer Make'er is one of the ultimate poo cod reggae tunes. I'll throw in the Stones 'Hey Negrita' too. They make Dreadlock Holiday sound roots.

Thinking. Of zep, reminded me a bit of Abba.

The longer they went on , the worse they got. IMHO

I think the same could be said for quite a few bands actually.!
But that's probably a whole nother thread.. ;)
