budget bassist Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Yeah i noticed that one earlier and thought what a f***ing lunatic! Quote
andy67 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 remember though 15% goes to ebay when all fees are added....greedy bar stewards those ebay owners! Quote

Davetbass Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I know these aren`t made anymore as they were costing too much to produce but I cant help feeling that the SUB stands for sub standard! I sold my brand new, 3 band eq, black stingray for 600 quid last year... Quote

I dont think the second hand price for them is much more than that at the moment.... Edited April 8, 2008 by Davetbass Quote

dub_junkie Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I sold a teal sub bass with an abalone plate for 300 quid 18 months ago. up to about 350 is ok for them imo. the not very nice textured finish and lack of detailing is too much of a no-no above that price. it played and sounded as good as my 2 band Stinger I had before it though Quote
RayFW Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I recently bought an absolute peach of a Stingray 2eq via Basschat for £550. £750 for a Sub is just wishful thinking TBH. Quote

And yeah the textured paint is weird but it does look nice if you catch it in the right light (check the bass porn forum). It does play and sound as nice as a ray though, that's why i love it so much (though the neck finish on a ray is nicer tbh) Quote
