Bass #3 and #4

I don't build for customers anymore (long story) but occasionally I rouse myself to finish a project.

Here's a pic of a nearly finished bass which might end up getting gigged at some point, though it's got a hard job to beat my main bass.

Swamp Ash body with a Purpleheart neck and fingerboard.

Apart from maybe a bit of a tint to the body, just clear lacquer - I'm quite minimalist in my tastes these days.

Bass #4 is a slightly more P-shape, but I've changed the lower horn from my first two builds to match #3 as:
1 ) I like it, and
b ) it gives better access to those all-important top frets

I'm going to paint the neck black, and I was planning to paint the body a solid colour, but the wood looks so good I might have to just use some clear lacquer. .
