Herbie The Rad Dorklift
I program it to bass guitar, hit all 5 strings on my bass and it only shows 4 strings on the Polytune.... Help?
geoffbassist
Ive found most electronic tuners work much better using the 12th fret harmonic of each string. Especially on the low B.
pantherairsoft
Something isn't right. My Polytune tunes all my strings perfectly. I can tune my 6 string bass polyphonic! It is a regular Polytune and not a Polytune mini? (just in car you got a new one in the sly). Assuming it is a regular one, check the reference frequency and reset everything. Take it off bass and back onto bass again. Try and give it a 'kick'. Not running any buffers or effects before it?

aldude
I had this problem when I used my 5 with the Polytune (original, not mini). I just tuned the B separately - well actually I did and still do with all the strings, as I don't trust the poly mode, so it didn't bother me, but you're not the only one out there. No idea what could be causing this - could be a batch issue, instrument level, EQ (too much harmonics?) - who knows. I was actually using a Line6 G50 wireless straight into the polytune. topo morto
When I had one it was always ok with my BEAD, though it would usually invent a phantom 'G'...
