hatnobobble Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) Hi folks. Recently recorded live video with my band. Used my Radial Bassbone as a DI to the desk and running to Fender Bassman Combo. All good but when I wanted to engage the Boost, the footswitch ellicited a popping sound through the combo. No other technical problems apparent. I detatched the Boss chorus pedal loop but this made no difference. Leads were all standard jack to jack for instrument to Bassbone pedal (Fender J B, insulated with copper foil and graphite bass paint - totally silent) & bassbone to amp. Any ideas what may be causing the problem? Do I need different leads? Help appreciated, cheers Edited February 9, 2012 by hatnobobble Quote
Davebassics Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Sound like a pull down resistor issue. A good article: http://www.muzique.com/news/pulldown-resistors/ Quote
Al Heeley Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 i would agree, this is a common cause - had this on a couple of homebrew pedals. Soldered a 1M resistor across the terminals of the input jack from hot to ground at it cleared up. Quote
