thehighwayman Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012
60's or 70's spacing?
?????
CPBassman Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Looking at the pics its sporting 60's spacing. This refers to the position of the pickups. The 70's jazz bass pickups were closer to the bridge to tighten the note. In a nutshell

Huxley Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Does this bass have Suhr EQ/Pickups? Is it pretty much all original from when it was first bought? By the way, I am in Worthing.
this looks identical to my 1996 5 string - which has the suhr PUs - they are single pole and are stacked humbuckers not single coils. great sounding bass.

Prime_BASS Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 I now have a 95 deluxe with the John suhr pickups and preamp. I have to say it is the best jazz I've played, sounds brilliant and plays great and it weighs 8.4lbs, steal at £500. The neck is quiet a bit thicker than most other jazzes I've played though, but not a bad thing and nothing like a precision. Mine is in vintage cream or some sh*t, but looks yellow...... This red looks amazing. The body is actually alder with ash caps on the top and bottom, that's why the finish is opaque around the edge to hide the joints. Some one should definitly have this.
dmccombe7 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 This is a very nice quite like one of these type BUMP's. Afraid Karlfer's HT322 has taken preference at moment. Blame him - otherwise i would have jumped at this. Good luck and i can't understand why this hasn't been snapped up at this price. Cheers Dave
AgentCooper Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Wow, bargain. Remember folks there's an extra few frets and a lighter, smaller body with through stringing option.
