Hi!
I'm a bass and double bass player from Italy, I live in Turin and from the next month I'll be Londoner!
I'll stay there for some month working for a recording studio as musician as well as sound engineer, I hope to play as much as possible in the city that I think has the most exciting music scene in Europe.

I'm going to ask you some information about the city, the pub jams, concert, music shops...
I hope you could help me

Welcome. My avatar picture is of an Italian in London lol. I can't say I'm a big expert on the "scene" down there. I only went to one gig in london, that was Funeral for a Friend at the Shepard's Bush Empire. Great night.

Can you also help me in the search of an house?
Do you know any musician searching for an housemate?
Any cheap solution for the first days?

Hi Giamma, and welcome to the community.

You say you're coming to London to work, so I assume you're no longer a student. However, you may like to have a look at Tech Music Schools' website as they have some info on coming to live here and finding accommodation with other students. They are based in Acton, west London.

Good luck!

Thank you bluejay, I'm taking a look at it, it seems to be interesting.
Are you from London?

Clark are you italian?
[/quote]

No, but it seems i might have American / Italian decendants though! Someone at work had started teaching me some Italian but he left and unforunately I didn't continue. Oh, and it's Tony actually!
I thought it would be nice to greet you in your own language to make you feel at home here.......It looks like you are fluent in English anyway. Welcome!

Oh thank you cark, you've been really kind!
I need more production to be really fluent in English and that's also why I'm looking forward to going in London :)
