1970
Sorry I know this is a little off topic. I'm looking at getting a bass w hard case shipped from europe (west) - Not sure what to expect in terms of shipping costs and want to make sure I'm being reasonably charged. Can anyone help out? Sorry I know this is a tad off topic.
Lozz196
I`ve sent a few basses to Europe, and including insurance, it`s been about £50 for a £600 bass, and £40 for a £300 bass. So would assume it`s about the same to be sent here.
1970
Dude is saying €160... seems excessive
neepheid
I got a Gibson RD Artist (not in a hard case) delivered from the Netherlands for €40 back in September if that helps. While sussing that out I'm also a bit peeved to find out that the value of the Euro vs. £ has decreased since then and it would have cost me £100 less if I had bought it today. Damn it! I sent an item to Greece with Parcelforce, via Parcel2go. That was the £40 one. If I`d gone to Parcelforce direct, it would have been about three times that. RhysP
I've never paid more than £40.00 for any basses/guitars to be shipped from Europe.
1970
Just realised it's not europe - geography fail.
fryer
I've just sent a bass to Sweden, and it cost £78 with the Post Office. I was quoted a bit less with parcels 2 go. Tried DHL - £234.

andysleigh
Paid £20 6 years ago to have a Gibby g3 shipped over from Germany. Probably cost the same to ship it down the road!
DirkThrust
I paid about £50 to ship a bass to Madrid recently. IIRC about half of that was enhanced insurance cover because the value of the bass was over £1000. That was using interparcel
