JJMacL
Not what I'm looking for ... but someone pointed it out to me and so I thought I'd pass it on. Thoman have a deal on these going for £208 new - that's saving about £350. discreet
Good God, that's [s]cheap[/s] affordable! It's certainly a hell of a lot of bang for your buck, isn't it? Trouble is, I've read so many reviews about reliability issues I don't think I would be happy with one... mind you at that price it would be worth picking one up as a backup... And thinking about it, it's actually 2 X 500W amps at 4 ohms as opposed to 1 X 1000W watt amp isn't it, so if you used one side of it and it went tits-up I suppose you could use the other side..? Interesting though, thanks for posting JJ.
JJMacL
Discreet, Exactly. Stick it in a bag and it's an easy to carry spare. Might not be out of this world - but sounds better than nothing! It's a big discount so I'm guessing they're discontinued?
discreet
They're not currently featured on the Ashdown site. I'm guessing there's a fair bit of stock about as I don't think they sold particularly well. The EQ was unpopular as was the fact you needed 2 X 4 ohm cabs to get full power out of it. Plus the unreliability issues. My view is it didn't sell because it had a picture of some bloke in his underpants on the front. . solo4652
Even cheaper (£192) if you buy B-stock: http://www.thomann.de/gb/ashdown_little_giant_1000_b_stock.htm?sid=c9ff8bc4e2fc5168277ef7bee468a39c
craigcapener
Madness! That's seriously cheap, what sort of issues have people had with these? This looks like the perfect sort of option for me as I want to downsize as it is and have two 4ohm cabs..

thumperbob 2002
Had no problems with mine. Absolutely fine budget amp. Used it on loads of gigs powering 2 x4 ohm cabs or 1 cab or just as a backup. I've used this powering subs too. Pre amp section a bit weak but c'mon these are great value!!
