I'd go for the Ibby every time - I've got the 500, and a friend has the 505. Great basses for the money, and the easiest playing instruments I've found: the ergonomics are just so right, although you need to like narrow, shallow, fast necks. Barts, too...

Definetly Ibanez. I have it for like 5 years and sometimes I like it more than my two MusicMan Stingrays , for certain situations. I still use it sometimes but they have a fairly small string spacing. I know the site says 16.5, but seems like 16 or 15.5 to my hands;). Cheers

Quite a difference in price. For under £200 the HB looks very appealing.

However, I'd go for the Ibby. I've got the SR300 and with the 'better bits' you get on the sr500 it'll make it a blistering bass. They've also got a very good rep.

i had an Ibanez bass before... crazy good bass for its price & built in japan.

and the harley benton seems too cheap to be true & possible... 175 pounds

I have a similar model and It plays vey well. Not sure what the current price is but it should be similar to the ibby.
