Davebassics
Not that it affects me in anyway. I've narrowed the refinish colour down to 1 of 3. 1. Olympic White 2. Fiesta Red 3. Vintage White VOTE HERE and help me decide!
LawrenceH
Hi Dave, Enjoying the blog - have voted Vintage white, but for me, ideally it'd be somewhere between the tint you've shown and Olympic. Good luck!
Davebassics
Thank you! Yeah, obviously I'm not voting but shame to see no votes for the fiesta red yet!
discreet
Vintage White is how Olympic White should look after 30 years. It just saves time. And Fiesta Red is just too 'flamboyant'. Yes, that's a euphemism.
Oopsdabassist
Nice Blog bud, I just bunged a John East Pre amp in my Jazz, Battery fits into existing channel no need for extra routing, great stuff. I voted Olympic white too, best looking of the three IMO. Good luck with the build!
StraightSix
I voted Olympic white too, best looking of the three IMO.
Me too - I would have voted Fiesta Red but that doesn't look anything like FR to me...more like Coral Pink. This is a common problem - I love Fiesta Red but so many Fenders are being produced now with this wierd shade - take a look at the Squier CV 60s Precision in 'Fiesta Red' - it doesn't look right at all... Davebassics
I have the Squier CV in "Fiesta Red". Regardless of what colour it actually is, it's beautiful. I think deep down I secretly know what I'm going to go for, but lets see how the vote goes over coming days/weeks.
Fiesta Red was not a very stable colour apparently, faded pretty easily hence, I suppose, modern repros are imitating an 'aged' version much like vintage white versus olympic
EssentialTension
I have an olympic white AV62 Precision and it looks like your vintage white.
tony_m
Well, it looks like I've just been the first person to vote for Fiesta Red! Have to confess it's not a colour that ever really appealed to me, until I recently acquired a Squier CV '60s P and now it makes me smile. I feel I should also point out that I'm from Lankyshire, and so "flamboyant" isn't a word that appears in my dictionary...

Davebassics
Vintage White has taken an over night lead! Only 31734 days left to vote. Fiesta Red always reminds me of the BBC News page. I'm sure someone will tell me they are completely different colours!
