wateroftyne Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I love my Roscoe Beck IV dearly, so I thought I'd treat it to a little surprise.. a Tort pickguard, custom-made by BC's own Howard the Bass Doc. What a job he's done! The tort is lovely and subtle.. not far from my 70s Ps & Js. Although the RB shape is a bugger to recreate with so many switches and sliders, he turned it around in no time at all for a very reasonable price. And, if I say so myself, it looks quite awesome... If you need a new PG, Howard's your man! Quote
LukeFRC Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 great job. The bass looks so much better too, i was sceptical of tort but it works! Quote
EssentialTension Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Very nice, Michael. Is it wearing the Lakland strings? Quote
PTB Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Lovely job. Perhaps he can do something classy for that keyboard too! :-) Quote

The Bass Doc Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Oh Dear. I've fallen victim to the couplet of the day. At 8.09 pm:- What a Plonker Howard the Bass Doc pimped up my Roscoe Beck Quote
Darkstrike Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Not often a fan of tort, but it works beautifully here. Quote
Raggy Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 When I read the thread title I thought you have finally seen the light and got Howard to spray the bass black!! We can but hope! That Howard is a clever chap though, looks proper Quote

bigjohn Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Bit of a long bump I know! I saw Roscoe Beck the other night playing for Leonard Cohen. He was excellent. As were the rest of them. The Webb sisters were also quite eyecatching... Quote
