Double Thumbing - nice starter riff?

Yeah, was just wondering if anyone had any they could recommend. I started off with this one but I haven't really come across others by him which aren't just constant double thumbing:

Other than that I've just been trying to incorporate it into some improv to a drumbeat.

For me double thumbing is just too awkward. The Mark King left hand slap is a far better in my opinion, a bit of a brain bender to begin with but works fine in the end. Check out Stuart Claytons Transcriptions of the Level 42 songs to see how he does it. Love Games is a good starter.

The Mark King left hand slap is nice but surely its only useful for making a muted noise? Especially fast parts - like the small section in Pow - double thumbing seems useful:

Love Games was probably the first song I ever tried to learn on bass :)

I'm the opposite- I find double thumbing much easier than regular slap, although admittedly I never play other people's slap lines.
Just try and adapt some lines that you play normally to work with the double thumb. I do it at the same place you would slap normally.
