yorks5stringer Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Just to warn you if you go ahead, then decide it's not for you and sell it on ebay, there will be a thread on here saying something like"look what that silly bugger has done to his epi tbird...." Quote
Truckstop Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Slanty pickups would be demon!!! Do it mate, it might not sound 'better' or even much different at all, but it's good fun tinkering with your instruments and if you invest in some good pickups it'll sound immense. Give it a go man! Norris Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 You ought to have kept that Squier P-J you sold me and used the pups from that. No, you're not having it back Quote

bigsmokebass Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012
*Grin* However a Thunderbird is a traditional bass - just not as common these days as a Fender. Besides the Epiphone version has far more in common with a Fender bass than the Gibson instrument it takes it's name from.
Amen to that Quote
