Nige
Hello everybody, new here so please be gentle! I was wondering if anyone knows why a Cort A4 LTD is a "LTD" ? Whats the difference? Great forum by BTW. I wish places like this where around when I was playing 25 odd years ago.
Cygnus x-1
welcome Nige, Cort are great basses, i've had 2 in the past, very well made and good value for money. The downside with Corts if buying new is the poor resale value if you ever fancy a change, but this also means you can get a bargain Cort pre-owned. I don't know what makes that particular bass a 'Ltd' maybe better wood/ electrics/ fittings than standard model or it could just be a name. Not to be confussed with the LTD make basses which I think are buget basses made by the ESP company. Confusing? do some searches on here for particular basses and there is loads of info, also guys and girls on here are great, theres some real knowledge and just about any question you ask will get answered, one big friendly bass family. Jayben
And no smart-alecs going 'JFGI' either, which is always a bonus. I love Cort stuff, I've got a C4 sat upstairs, and played one or two other models once. Idk about any Ltd series though..

Re Cort's Artisan series, and the use of "Ltd", isn't it usually used in connection with those premium woods and finishes which are revolved through the catalogue at different times? Nige
Seems to be a better kept secret than most government stuff. Multiple searches and all you get is the odd "for sale" but sold/deleted stock. When I figure out how to get photos on here I may well put up a picture of it.
