ben604
Couldn't see this posted anywhere else, but looks pretty exciting: http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/amps/bass/vt1000.html

RRP is $2500 in the US... Edited February 16, 2012 by ben604
Ed_S
*sharp intake of breath* ...maybe I'll stick to my Sansamp RBI / Crown 1550W power amp setup until the price comes down a bit!

icastle
Nice simple design without piles of flashing lights and buttons that never get used - I'm half persuaded by the appearance alone! Nice to see a quantification of the power rating as well - Measured using a -10dB 400Hz test signal with all amp controls flat, no Reverb or Boost. Actual levels will vary with your settings.
Mr. Foxen
Velcro a VT bass pedal to a Peavey IPR for the budget version.
markstuk
I sometimes run my Sansamp Programmable direct into a QSC PLX 2402... A bit more power and about the same weight.. :-) total cost £350... Edited February 16, 2012 by markstuk
ben604
See what the price is when it's released. Might be a lot cheaper, and it's always nice to have things in one box! Not to mention that it might well be voiced slightly different?
Bigwan
There's been a guy in the states making a micro amp from the VT bass pedal and B&O 500 watt icepower module for a few years now - can't remember his name. He resides over on the other site. Mods all the character series pedals with added XLR and speaker defeat option. Surprised it's taken Tech21 so long to catch up to be honest! As already noted this would need to be pretty cheap to compete with the VT bass deluxe/peavey ipr combination. Watched a vid on youtube the other day comparing the Tech21 VT 300 watt head with an ampeg SVT to show that the VT had more clean headroom than the SVT... think perhaps they were missing the point somewhat... paul_5
Should that not be "1000W power amp with built in Sansamp"? I've got roughly the same setup - BDDI into an Ampeg 1550. It did not cost $2500...
