This is a red Goglyke Disciple 5 string

Firstly this guitar is only $992 on the Godlyke website so the dealer is taking the P*SS or I suspect is ignorant (but he can use the internet like I did)

secondly it was for sale on here for £450 in june 2009

Yes it is the same one

I suggest you inundate this person with lots of questions as to why he is charging this amount

Unfortunately ebay dont police these people.

Er... I agree with you basically, but there is no law against someone trying to sell something for as much as they think they can get for it. It's called Capitalism. In practice, it will probably find its own level in the market.

But there are still plenty of people with more money that sense, even in these straitened times, so there you go. :)

Hey....you all seem to have forgotten.....This is "RARE"....... just don't forget these crucial details when shopping on e-bay..

Would be worth even more if it was formally owned by somebody you may have heard of.... or better still had spent a considerable length of time in an attic before being "FOUND" ;) :D

For the owner of an item to set the price they want. For any potential buyer to decide if they wish to pay that asking price. It's a free market. And even if you feel the eBay seller is profiteering, buying cheap from BC and selling high on eBay, you have no grounds for complaint.

Why would policing the prices on things be in anyone's interest? The idea is ebay allows the market to set the price. Starting at the price you want is the only way of determining the price you want to start with.

Thats true. There is though a certain assumption that all people are equally intelligent. knowlegable and gullible. I thought it looked fishy I always check stuff out. Others may be more trusting. Its what the Tories have relied on for years
