silentbob
Been toying with different ideas for the finish on my next project, and one of the ideas i'm considering is replicating the Musicman SUB bass finish on a precision. My question is, does anybody know where i could get the textured type paint used on the body, and is it available in a rattlecan as i don't own any spraying kit? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mods, if this would be better suited in the build diaries thread, please feel free to move it. rubis
There is a stippled kind of finish availabe in rattle cans, I used to have a Car Medic franchise and used it on car bumper repairs. You can paint over it too but it was a little trickier to apply than ordinary paint, its prone to clogging up the nozzle. # I imagine you could get from a good paint supplier
silentbob
I did wonder if there would be a nozzle problem. Having never used any other spraying equipment before, would this not happen on any type of kit if using textured paint?
gilmour
In street art the way to clean your nozzle is to hold the can upside down for a few seconds and spray until only gas comes out - I'd imagine that done regularly that will prevent blockage.
