It's time for a change so I'm putting up my beloved Tokai for sale/trade:

1985/86 Tokai LBX 60

I bought this from a nice gentleman on eBay last year to rekindle my interest in the bass.
It is a little battered (courtesy of its previous owners) but I treated it to a new set of D'Addario Chromes and set-up and it plays well and sounds great!

34" Scale, 24 Frets

Maple Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard

Body is either Ash or Alder - no idea which

TAR (Tokai Advanced Reproduction) Humbucker with Coil Tap

Volume and 2 x Tone Pots. Tone 1 is Push/Pull to engage coil tap.
I think "super detachable neck system" is marketing speak for a bolt-on neck.
As far as I can see there is nothing "super" about it but if you are still intrigued I'll take some more pics :)

I have to say I'm tempted.

I like the colour. It's obviously faded from the original red. Does anyone know how this colour will change in the future?

I'll polish it up and take some more pictures of the finish later as I don't think the phone pictures do the Metallic Red finish justice.

The previous owner lived in Poole, so maybe this bass is destined to return to sunny Dorset?
You're welcome to come on by have a look, play and cup of tea (optional) if you are ever in the area.
Or if you wanted to collect I could meet half way...

It'll be black in 10,000 years.

Final Price Drop - £100
Would rather this go to a BC'er than somebody on evilBay...

Go on.. Grab yourself a bargain.

Would make an ideal 1st bass or backup bass.
