BassMaiden Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) This beauty was around £1800 new. Its wacky crackled silver on blue finish really stands out from the crowd. It sounds awesome! Just seeing if anyone's interested in it - say £900? Can add more pics if necessary... BassMaiden Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 Bump. Willing to take offers. This is the bass on Sandberg's website: http://www.sandberg-guitars.de/basscat-overview/customshop/silvergold-1/silvergold-2
loweringthetone Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 (edited) Don't do it ! I've had the pleasure of playing this bass, and it was very classy indeed. Slick, punchy, responsive and a spectacular looker. Bass maiden is a top person too, a pleasure to deal with. Deal with confidence. Edited March 12, 2012 by loweringthetone
thebuckets Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 My rays up for sale see what I can do, have a bumperoo
fretmeister Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Amazing bass! I just wish there were more Sandberg JJ about rather than having the MM pickup.
BassMaiden Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 (edited) Dunno. I guess if you want JJ, then buy a Fender! Do you want to trade this for your Bongo? Edited March 17, 2012 by BassMaiden
thebuckets Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Trade for my minty fresh ray still with foil on pick guard
BassMaiden Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 Bump. Some interest in this, but no pounds in the bank yet!
ashevans09 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Just out of interest, what does that pick up combination sound like? I was always kind of drawn to the P + MM set up but was wondering how this compared?
BassMaiden Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 It sounds fat! Sound is obviously difficult to describe, but it adds something to the single MM sound you get on a Stingray, and is different to the double MM sound you get on a lot of basses. The MM pickup is coil tapped too, so with some knob twiddling, it should allow you to get a jazz like sound as well.
