tommyjamesallen
I bought these strings a few months ago, put them on my bass and after one practice I decided that they weren't for me, so I took them off and they've been in their box ever since, so good as new really. They cost me £85 so how does £50 posted sound. Cheers Tom
Beedster
Any idea how they compare with Silver Slaps Tom? Chris
tommyjamesallen
Chris I think that Silver Slaps are a much lower tension and nylon wound, whereas the Honeys are a more normal tension and chrome tape wound. Hope that helped. Tom.
Beedster
Thanks Tom, if they're higher tension than the slaps i'm not sure I've got it in me Chris
Owen
MAN UP CHRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be serious (not trying to sell them to Chris) these are the best pizz/arco string I have found so far. I'm sure there are other ones around, but these are pretty dandy. [/quote] LOL, fair enough Owen, althoughI thought I was man enough with the slaps (quite high action on my DB after all). Tempted to give them a go as whilst I love the slaps for bluegrass/blues style, I do find them something of a one-trick pony. C
