StevieD_FenderP2009
Hey guys I'm thinking of buying a Sennheiser EW100 G2 wireless system to run my basses on (in fact, I can get a pair very cheaply off my mate which is perfect for running active and passive basses separately) but I'm getting a bit worried that i'll buy them then not be able to use them All this "Digital Switch Over" lark is beginning to annoy me as no where really states what frequencies will be banned, only what channels and I don't know what that all means! Anyway, the wireless kits are Range E which is 830 - 866 MHz so does any one know whether or not this will be legal to use after the switch over or not? Also, could any one let me know which frequencies will be banned so i can let me guitarists know too? Cheers Stevie
icastle
The OfCom frequency plan shows that the current 'unregulated' spectrum (863Mhz - 865Mhz) remains available for use after the switchover. Stay between those two frequencies and you'll be fine.
StevieD_FenderP2009
Wow, that's a lot of the frequencies I wont be able to use then. I don't know if it's worth buying the kits now =/ Thanks for your help though
