FT: Guitars and amps for bass stuff!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys.

I am more of a bass player so have decided to trade out with my things here!

Looking for just basses, no amps or cabs or effects. What have you got? Will also do part ex's. The Fender Tele will have be traded for something I REALLY like though.

Will do many different combinations. I also have a little money I can put in the pot to sweeten the deal.

Examples of what I would like, Fender basses, Gibson Grabbers, Musicmans, Kramer Alu necks, Fretless 5 strings, maybe some 80's stuff. I like doom related basses.

I am based in Swindon/Bristol and would prefer collection, the amp will not be posted under any circumstance.

Cheers!

Rob.

Fender Tele 72' custom reissue with SD Quarter pounder.

I have a lovely Telecaster 72' reissue with a Seymour Duncan 1/4 bridge pup. (includes original pup too!)

Its a lovely player with a decent action, very little fretwear, does have some light plectrum wear on the scratchplate. Has been recently rewired and had some copper sheilding under the scratchplate.

I value the guitar £450. I will only trade this particular guitar for something equally desirable (Fender or easily sellable bass)

Ashdown/Matamp Peacemaker 100 Custom, Handmade in the UK

Designed by Dave Green of Matamp and handbuilt in the UK, in good working order. Just replaced the VU lamp and some pre-amp valves.

"The sensational Peacemaker 100 tube guitar head leaves no stone unturned in the pursuit of tone.

**ALSO INCLUDES TRIODE/PENTODE SWITCH TO CUT THE POWER OUTPUT IN HALF

Transformer guru John Page was persuaded out of retirement to design the ultimate transformer for high frequency performance, harmonic content and low-end response. All wiring is undertaken by hand using solid copper wire and Ministry of Defence lacing of all looms, and the chassis is stainless steel, chosen to eliminate the effects of a magnetic field on the sound. Six enormous smoothing capacitors ensure a consistent, ripple-free delivery of power and all the very best practices are followed for the reduction of hum and noise. Preamp tubes are the classic 5 x 12AX7 configuration and each output tube is indivdually fused with the biasing adjustable by the player using rotary controls available from the back panel, in conjunction with the VU meter set to 'Audio'. EL34 tubes are fitted as standard with Pentode / Triode switching, but it's also possible to fit KT88s or 6L6s, enabling guitarists to experiment with different tube selections and create their own unique tones.

Footswitching between two input gain settings provides access to a range of unashamedly British sounds. Overdrive tones are powerful yet restrained, retaining every detail and nuance of the performance, while clean sounds are gloriously glassy and bright. Back panel facilities include FX send and return, 4/8/16 Ohm impedance switching and mains voltage selector."
I value the amp at £480.

Washburn G20V, Set neck, Made in Japan.

I have a 80's Washburn G20V, set neck, made in japan super stratalike. Twin humbuckers, Carbonite fingerboard and the AWESOME Washburn wonderbar bridge.

I have replaced the original pretty awful pups with some Motherbuckers, The pots are original coil tapped Dimarzios

Its a fantastic player with an awesome hard rock/metal sound. The stock Wonderbar nut has been replaced with a better Floyd rose nut. I have an unoriginal trem bar for it, but I have found someone with a stock of black NOS replacement trem bars if needed.

It has a very dark red candy apple type finish. There are light scratches dings and scuffs which are part and parcel of an old guitar such as this. It's also just had a repair on the butt strap pin where shipping damage occured. None of this is visible on stage.

This is the same type as used by Wayne in Waynes world (Before he got the strat).

I value the guitar at around £250.
