Where have a the Bongo's gone?

In the 2nd hand market there are loads of Stingrays up for grabs but it seems to me that Bongos barely surface for air.

Is it because they are actually so good ?

(I think they are seriously underrated)

I purchased a 2nd hand Bongo from my local shop about 3 months ago. It's the first time I've ever seen one in there. I played it and had to buy it, it sounded and played awesome!

I love my bongo, and can't see me parting with it in the near future (or even at all).

imo, i think stylistically there a niche... people buy them because they really love the shape.. and the amazing tone those things kick out..

I still want one. Been looking for over a year now. Tempted to order a Tangerine Pearl with White Pearl Guard in HH....as they now have lightweight tuners on the new builds.

It's most likely because they're a much lower seller than the Stingray, less in circulation in general.
