I've just been checking this bass out again, it is beautiful!

How does she play now you've had a few weeks with her?
[/quote]

It's weird, but it feels worn in, like I've been playing it for years. It really is the perfect bass for me - it sounds exactly like I wanted it to, it plays just how I wanted it to (in truth, it actually plays better than I hoped), and it looks as cool as they come!

I think the best compliment I can pay is that I wouldn't change a single thing on it - it's that good. I'm definitely going to get Jon to build me a Jazz next - his work is amazing.

Not sure how i missed this first time round.
Looks great. LOVE the black hardware
Had a Shuker Jazz before, and it was a lovely bass.
Wish i could have had that as a Precision!!

A stunning instrument by a very talented Luthier indeed.

One of my own 'custom' Shukers is coming up to ten years old now and is still going strong! (The other Shuker I think is coming up to 8 years old) - Over the years I had the odd 'wobble' with finances and worried that I might have to sell it, but I'm pleased to say it (and the other) have never left my side. Brilliant bass guitars, rock solid set ups and sublime playability which instruments more than double the price have trouble keeping up with.

Yup to all the above, they're as good as anything you can buy, and better than most; my two are going nowhere, and I'm after Jon making me a replacement neck for the Fenderbird next.

If I had the money, my hobby would be commissioning Jon to make basses for me... :D

I have been through more basses than I care to admit to. Some of them were eyewateringly expensive. My present Shuker is easily as good as any of the others I have ever owned. He just makes a lovely instrument.

Nice ! My first custom bass was a Over **ter in 82 & the after sales was awful . John Shuker treats everyone with the same respect & has a real passion for his trade .

Yup, that makes two of us! I think there's at least five maybe more in my head that I would have Jon build at the drop of a hat, finances allowing.

Yeah, beautiful instruments, a very talented guy indeed.

It was this Bass that inspired me to get my Shuker , thank you Tredders :)

It also inspired its design ...

Ah, very cool - glad to hear it!

Pics aren't too good  I did have a 51 P in the neck position at first , but I wanted some Jack Bruce / Andy Fraser type oomph to call on , hence the Humbucker . I had a Gibson SG Bass , but I love the Precision shape .

Very nice. You couldn't have fitted a couple more pickups in there then? ;-)
