tiki613
hello guys, for the moment , i use the EA Doubler with the Acoustic Image TEN EX, the sound is good for the small gigs , but for the big , its just and the 4ohms of this box are a problem. i'll want working with a 2X10( for the small gigs in gipsy jazz ) + a 12" (for big gigs in blues/boogie). What cabs use with the doubler ?
geoffbassist
I use an AI Clarus with a 12"wizzy Mline. I love the cab. It works great with double bass.

fatback
I use a Barefaced Midget with mine. Great cab. Loud drummer too. Edited February 24, 2012 by fatback

[/quote] Yeh I use it for all my DB gigs. It's a great cab. As its only a single 12 it does have its limits, but it's loud enough for me. I've got no idea how it would compare with the ten2. I've heard that's a fantastic cab.
bassace
I'm very happy with my 12" Wizzy (not M line I regret). When I need some extra oomph I put a 10" Wizzy on top. This not only gives some nice sharp mids it also makes the 12" more bottomy. Not sure why but it certainly works well. Both with a Clarus. Clarky
I have the same cabs as bassace/Roger (ie, Wizzy 10, 12). I haven't gigged the 10 yet but I can tell you the 4 ohm Wizzy 12 is mighty loud (and you can add the 4 ohm Wizzy 10 with an AI Clarus+ head as it goes down to 2 ohms). I have gigged the Wizzy 12 in a 14-piece swamp blues band, so its loud!
tiki613
I make a news test with the ten ex the next week, I'll taking my decision after. My problem is the money , I'm living in Belgium and the wizzy mline 12" cost 620£ and buying without tests , this is not a great idea . Other question:Who having tested the fearful 12/6??? fatback
Don't ignore the Midget. Loud and transparent too. Pairs with the Doubler very well.
marvin spangles
HI I am surprised that the Doubler ten ex combination isn't loud enough for you. I occasionally use the Doubler with the EA wizzy 10 but for most gigs I use the Ten ex driven by the AI Focus . No issues with volume. In bigger venues I'd be going into FOH so I just try to get a volume that works for the band. That being said I have never paired the Double with the Ten Ex cab. However the Wizzy 10 doesn't compare with the Ten EX in terms of sound quality or volume. The Mline range of EA cabs gets favourable comments. I have an EA cxl12 which I have used with the Doubler . An excellent cab. Great sound for both Electric and Double. I don't do many EB gigs so the EA CXL112 doesn't get used much. Try before you commit to anything.
